About the HTML Tag Stripper
This stripper removes every HTML tag from your input and returns clean plain text. It runs entirely in your browser using a temporary DOM element, so nothing is uploaded. Use it to clean up copied content, extract text from email HTML, or prepare content for plain-text systems.

- Review the tag counter and copy the plain text.
Frequently asked questions
Does this tool upload my HTML? No. All processing happens locally in your browser. Your content never leaves your device.
Are HTML entities decoded? Yes, when the option is checked. The browser's native parser handles entities automatically when we read textContent.
What about nested tags? All tags are stripped recursively — nested structures like <div><p>text</p></div> become just text.
How is the tag count calculated? The counter reports the total number of element tags that were removed from the input.
